Guest Speaker: Tim Watson "How to Build a Successful Team"
Tim Watson is one of AFL football’s most revered heroes. Renowned for his superb skills and explosive bursts of pace, he played 307 Games for Essendon from 1977 - 1994.
Following a year of retirement in 1992 in which he joined Seven’s AFL team as a special comments expert, he returned to football and was rewarded with his third Essendon premiership. He had played a starring role in Essendon’s 1984 and 1985 and the, then, most recent 1993 premiership teams.
Upon retirement as a player, our speakers’ accomplished communication skills have helped him develop a very successful career in television and radio, and as a corporate presenter. He is currently the channel seven weekend sports presenter, and also a co-host of "Talking Footy" on Monday nights. He is also a columnist for The Age, and his articles appear each Wednesday. Friday nights, he is the Special Comments Commentator on 774 3LO with Tim Lane, Drew Morphett and David Parkin, and he also is a co-host and presenter of "Up Country Punt," a football based radio program network through regional areas of Australia each Friday between 4 and 6 o’clock together with Gary Lyon and Billy Brownless.
He has made a major contribution to Australian Rules Football and has fittingly been rewarded with a host of awards including 3 premierships, 3 best and Fairest Awards, being appointed Club Captain and representing his State on 10 occasions. He is, however, more than a footballing great.
